Geothermal Utilization Fundamental course provides knowledge about the basic concepts of utilizing geothermal energy to meet energy needs. In general, there is an explanation of the analysis in terms of thermodynamics, economy, and the environment in designing the utilization of geothermal energy. Specifically, there is an explanation of the opportunities for utilizing geothermal energy in an area accompanied by various considerations both in terms of energy needs, commodities owned, and other NRE potentials in the area.

About Instructor


Lia Putriyana has currently working at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia since 2014. Currently, she is also continuing her doctoral higher education in Mechanical Engineering, University of Indonesia. Lia has been in the geothermal field for 8 years, specializing in the utilization of geothermal energy. Several research projects that he has carried out during his professional experience include Numerical Simulation in several geothermal fields in Indonesia (Lainea, Gunung Talang, Dolok Marawa, etc.). He has also participated in conducting a feasibility study on geothermal development directly in the Dieng and Patuha fields (2018) together with PT Geo Dipa Energy.
